Summer Hydrosol Distillation Workshops 

Hydrosols are fragrant botanical waters that contain essential oils, acids, and phytochemicals that are extracted from the fresh plant material utilizing a traditional copper alembic still. Hydrosols help soothe and tone the skin without disturbing the precious pH of the skin while offering gentle aromatherapy. Participants will get to gather and prepare an aromatic herb, assist in the distillation with a copper alembic still, learn about the history, significance, and benefits of hydrosols and take a bottle of our finished product home with them.

Classes at from 2-5 pm at Wilder Hill Gardens in Conway, MA. We will gather amongst a gorgeous native and ornamentals nursery, with blueberries ripening and pear trees above head.

The class includes all materials and costs $75 per ticket. You will take home a 2 ounce bottle of the hydrosol we make. Payment plans and sliding scale is available. You can receive 10% off both ticket costs if you and a friend sign up together. Space is limited.

Medicine Making Intensive
Dates TBD - Conway, MA

Join me in The People’s Gold herb garden for this medicine making intensive. For one long weekend, you will learn the ins and outs of making potent handcrafted herbal medicine and go home with a little apothecary of herbal essentials! We will cover topics such as the honorable harvest, energetics and flavors, art of formulation, and  solubility. We will focus on a different topic and herbal preparation such as tinctures, oxymels, hydrosols, teas, and salves. We are surrounded by medicine and anyone can turn the abundance into amazing herbal remedies for themselves and their community.
